We got the chicken, though not the hand drill, which just raised eyebrows wherever we asked. John’s coming round to the idea of a rechargeable one ….
So, we left our mooring and I told the GPS plotter to reverse the route again to take us back down to Nidri. “Will we ever manage to go anywhere else?” I wonder aloud. “But you do know how to use the plotter, don’t you?” asks John. “Well, sort of. I did put this route in at Preveza, but I’m not sure I can remember quite how. I’ll have to study the manual.” This is a phrase you hear quite a lot aboard LouLouDitsi at the moment.
Tranquil Bay is quite full – not surprising, as the weather’s somewhat unsettled and there’s a rare southerly blowing. Tranquil Bay and Vlikho, further in, are very sheltered. After a bit of pootling around, we pick a spot and drop anchor. Not our best positioning – the wind is very variable and we watch as the boats all change direction and then swing back again. We’re nearer 2 boats than we might have preferred (one is unoccupied) but we stay clear of them.

We dine on cold chicken, grilled vegetables from the same shop (peppers, aubergine, courgettes) and fresh bread with chilled red wine from the bix. Followed by strawberries. The peace is welcome after Lefkas town quay and we sleep long and well.
