On Tuesday we get up late and are still lazing about at 2pm when we hear an outboard engine and a friendly Hello. It’s our friends from Full Flight who we met on the IBA pontoon last week. (Tony was very helpful about the toilet repair.) We’d seen them anchored across the bay and they’d popped in on their way back from shopping.
They came aboard for a glass of wine and a chat. It began to rain again, so we poured another glass or three – no point in them having a wet dinghy ride home. At some pointed I supplemented the crisps, oregano crackers and nuts with some brie on little french toasts in an effort to soak up some alcohol.
The white wine box is empty! Well, we did drink a lot at the renaming ceremony ….
At 8pm we saw them off in their dinghy and cooked some rice to go with cold chicken and roasted vegetables. The unpromising apricots have ripened and rounded off a happy day.
In bed and fast asleep by 10.30!
