So, are we bursting with energy after our holiday? Quite the opposite! We’ve had a lovely time – it feels a bit odd having the boat to ourselves again – but lethargy has set in. We’ve been dashing about far more than we’re used to; I didn’t have time to fully recover from the cold John caught in France and that I started in Gouvia; and August had been pretty hectic. And we don’t actually need to be anywhere . . .
We seem to have bags of laundry to do : what this actually means is that we walk it the short distance to ??? and the next day Ari (short for Aristotle) cycles along the quay and returns it to us – clean, folded and smelling of fresh air.
So passes a happy, relaxed week. And we realise the dreaded harbour rot is creeping over us. Time to move on.
